Meg was lost while out for a walk in Stanley Park, on Sunday the13th February 2005 A Black Labrador with White muzzle, a sign of her 13 years. |
|
| Meg was lost around the rose garden in Stanley Park
which is near the fountain. We always
walk to the park because we live only five minutes
around the corner . My mother was
walking with meg and our two other dogs when she
turned into the rose garden and she thought meg was
following behind. Sadly meg must have become
disorientated and taken a different route and when my
mum realised meg had disappeared. Meg is an extremely trusting and friendly dog and would run up to strangers all the time when she was out which is what makes the lack of sightings or news all the more confusing and difficult to understand. She was an energetic healthy and loving dog but her road sense was poor. She would however occasionally take off from home if the door or gate was left open but she was always found within 24 hours or on one occasion made her way home within 48 hours. We have rung & visited the various kennels on numerous occasions. We have put posters up around Stanley Park and Lawsons Field and the streets near Stanley Park and the areas where we use to live, my mum has spent two afternoons putting leaflets through doors and we have been in touch with the police, dog warden and the cleansing department regularly. We have also put adverts in shop windows and the gazette. But to be honest we think that she has must have been knocked down and no one has bothered to inform us because it is so unlike Meg. Meg was wearing a red collar and we are pretty sure it had a name tag on with our phone number. |
